MPAM…throughout the years.

  • The original name for the collection in 1990 was The Bill lves Drum Corps Memorabilia Collection. The collection was centered around the Archer-Epler Musketeers which started in 1932.

  • As more people passed on their uniforms to us, our name changed to The Drum Corps Memorabilia Collection in 2002. Our collection grew to about 100 uniforms, 50 shakos, and other miscellaneous items.

  • As our collection was growing, we had to figure out what to do with it! A friend of the museum told us about The Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, AZ. We decided we needed an all-encompassing name and that’s how “The Marching Pageantry Museum” was born in 2019.

  • A good drum corps friend of our founder, Tom Breen, had donated $1,000 to the museum. With that money, we were able to spend the $600 needed to apply for the 501(c)3 status. As of August 11th, 2021, Marching Pageantry Arts Museum became an official non-profit organization. Once the word spread that we had the status, our collection exponentially grew alongside donations to our cause. And the rest is history…
